Privacy Policy
Ask the Car Expert takes the privacy of its visitors extremely seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected and how it is used. This Privacy Policy is reviewed and revised from time to time. You should revisit it regularly. Your use of this site, in any and all forms, constitutes an acceptance of this Privacy Policy. Ask the Car Expert does not share personal information with third parties. Nor do we store any information about your visit to this blog other than to analyse and optimise your content and reading experience through the use of cookies.
Cookies
We use cookies to store information about visitor preferences and to record user-specific information on visits and pages the user views so as to provide a custom experience. If you wish to disable cookies you may do so through your web browser options. Instructions for doing so and for other cookie-related management can be found on the specific web browsers’ websites.
Content
We can’t be held responsible for content republished from this blog on other blogs or websites without our permission. This Privacy Policy is subject to change without notice and was last updated on 1 December 2018. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at carexpert@wordsmithmedia.co.uk.
Links
We sometimes link to external websites to enable you to get as much information as possible on the topic of interest. However, once you leave Ask the Car Expert we have no control over any other websites, their content or any privacy policy they might have.
Affiliate links
Ask the Car Expert is a free website and we want it to stay that way. Despite that noble intention we still have to eat and occasionally even give our contributors money. Companies can’t pay to advertise on the site; that would compromise our editorial integrity. We do however provide affiliate links to the best products and services. We choose these carefully so they link to items we’d buy ourselves.
They look just like normal links but if a reader clicks through on them and goes on to make a purchase, it may result in a payment to the site. As you can see below, we don’t track your data.

In the unlikely event we might want to share any of your personal information we will ask your permission. You may request any information held about you by contacting us at carexpert@wordsmithmedia.co.uk.
